What's the Configuration File Management on active configuration

Function Description

You can save, back up, activate and query the configuration file on the MA5680T/MA5683T/MA5608T.

Function

This command is used to activate a configuration file. To validate a configuration file in the system, run this command.
NOTICE:
  • When you run the load configuration command to load a configuration file, activate the file directly but do not run the save configuration or the save command to save it. Otherwise, the imported configuration file is lost.
  • The system is reset after you run the active configuration system command. During the reset, the system selects the system configuration file for activating the system configuration.
  • When activating a large configuration file, the reboot time is long. For example, if there are 12 K service-ports, 12 K descriptors of service-ports, and mac-address max-mac-count in each service-port, the reboot time is about 1 hour.
  • The configuration file cannot be used in a cross-R version or cross-C version. Otherwise, configurations will be lost.

Format

active configuration system

Parameters

Parameter Description
system Activates the configuration for the system. When the system is reset, the system selects the system configuration file for configuration, and does not select the database for configuration.

Modes

Privilege mode

Level

Operator level

Usage Guidelines

None

Example

To activate the configuration file, do as follows:
huawei#active configuration system
System will reboot after this command, continue? (y/n)[n]:y

System Response

  • Before you run the command, the system prompts whether to reset the system for activating the configuration file. You need to confirm the prompt for executing the command.

How to Logging In to the Web LCT?

Log in to the Web LCT before performing NE settings on the Web LCT.

Procedure

  1. Double-click the startweblct_https.bat file at "WebLCT\WebLCT\Tomcat" to launch the Web LCT application.
  2. In the browser, enter the default value admin for User Name and Changeme_123 for Password.
  3. Enter the Verification Code according to the picture that is displayed on the right side.
  4. Click Login to display the NE List window.

Postrequisite

After logging in to the Web LCT,pay attention to the following if you need to commission an NE on the Web LCT:
  • When no U2000 user logs in to an NE and an LCT user requests to log in to the NE, the NE does not refer to the LCT Access Control parameter and allows the LCT access directly
  • When a U2000 user has logged in to an NE and then an LCT user requests to log in to the NE, the NE determines whether to allow the LCT user to log in based on the LCT Access Control parameter.
  • When an LCT user has logged in to an NE and then a U2000 user requests to log in to the NE, the login of the LCT user does not affect the login of the U2000 user, and the successful login of the U2000 user does not affect the logged-in LCT user.
  • When the LCT user and the U2000 user log in to the NE at the same time, set LCT Access Control to Prohibit Access. This does not affect the LCT user that has already logged in.

Our company supply OSN 2500, OSN 3500 and transmission board.

What's the MSTP Configuration on debugging stp instance event

Function

The debugging stp instance event command is used to enable the event debugging switch of the instance specified by MSTP. When you need to query the event such as the RX/TX packet, port status/port role transition, and state machine transition of the specified instance, run this command. After that, you can obtain the details of the related events.
The undo debugging stp instance event command is used to disable the event debugging switch of the specified instance. If you do not want to obtain the details of the related events, run this command. After that, the system does not report the information about the related events.

Format

debugging stp instance instance-id event
undo debugging stp instance instance-id event

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
instance instance-id Indicates the spanning tree instance ID. Value 0 indicates the common and internal spanning tree (CIST) instance and the other values indicate the multiple spanning tree instance (MSTI). Numeral type. Range: 0-16.

Modes

Privilege mode, OSN 3500, OSN 2500

Level

Operator level

Usage Guidelines

  • This command must be used with the terminal monitor and terminal debugging commands. The debugging information can be reported to the CLI terminal only when the functions in these two commands are enabled.
  • After the event debugging switch of the specified instance of MSTP is enabled, you can obtain the information about the RX/TX packets and state machine of all ports of the specified instance.

Example

To enable the event debugging switch of the MSTP instance 2, do as follows:
huawei#debugging stp instance
{ INTERGER<0-16> }:2
{ event<K> }:event

  Command:
          debugging stp instance 2 event
To disable the event debugging switch of the MSTP instance 2, do as follows:
huawei#undo debugging stp instance
{ INTERGER<0-16> }:2
{ event<K> }:event

  Command:

The MSTP Configuration on debugging stp

Function

The debugging stp command is used to enable the debugging switch of the global error or global event of MSTP, or enable the debugging switch of the RX/TX packet and event of the port. The undo debugging stp command is used to disable the debugging switch of the global error or global event of MSTP, or disable the debugging switch of the RX/TX packet and event of the port. When you do not need to query the details of all ports or the specified port, disable the related debugging switch. After that, the system does not report the related details of the ports.

Format

debugging stp { global-error | global-event | all }

Usage Guidelines

  • This command must be used with the terminal monitor and terminal debugging commands. The debugging information can be reported to the CLI terminal only when the functions in these two commands are enabled.
  • After the debugging switch of the global event of MSTP is enabled, you can query the related information about the RX packets and the state machine of all ports.
  • After the debugging switch of the global error of MSTP is enabled, you can query the error information about the port.
  • After the debugging switch of the RX/TX packets of the specified MSTP port is enabled, you can query the details of the RX/TX packets of the specified port, debugging by instance is not supported.
  • After the event debugging switch of the specified MSTP instance is enabled, you can query the related information about the state machine of the instance, debugging by port is not supported.

Example

To enable the debugging switch of the global event of MSTP, do as follows:
huawei#debugging stp
{ all<K>|event<K>|global-error<K>|global-event<K>|instance<K>|packet<K>|port<K>
}:global-event

  Command:
          debugging stp global-event
To enable the debugging switch of the RX/TX packets of port 0/19/0, do as follows:
huawei#debugging stp

What's the MSTP Configuration on check region-configuration

Function

This command is used to check the configuration of the Multiple Spanning Tree (MST) region. The users can judge the MST region which the current switch belongs to based on the information or check whether the configuration of the MST region is correct.

Format

check region-configuration

Parameters

None

Modes

MST region mode, OSN 3500, OSN 2500

Level

Operator level

Usage Guidelines

  • Run the config command to enter global config mode, and then run the stp region-configurationcommand to enter MST region mode.
  • The deactivated region configuration includes the setting of MST region name, revision level and table of mapping between the MST region instances and VLANs. After the region configuration is activated, the active region configuration is displayed.
  • In multiple spanning tree protocol (MSTP) network, make sure that the region configuration is correct, especially the MST region instances and VLAN mapping table.
  • Only devices that have the same region name, VLAN mapping table, and revision level can be configured in the same region.

Example

To check the configuration information of the region, do as follows:
huawei(stp-region-configuration)#check region-configuration
 Admin configuration
   Format selector :0
   Region name :00e0fc995050
   Revision level :0

   Instance Vlans Mapped
     0 1 to 4094

System Response

  • The system displays the result when the command runs successfully.
  • The following table describes the parameters in response to the check region-configuration command.
    Parameter Description
Format selector Indicates the specified selector of the MSTP protocol.
Region name Indicates the name of the MST region. It is used to identify the MST region.
Revision level Indicates the revision level of the MST region.
    Range: 0-65535.
    Default value: 0.
Instance Vlans Mapped Indicates the mapping between the spanning tree instance of the MST region and the VLAN.
