Parameters
Parameters
Parameter
Description
Value
portid
Indicates the number of the GPON port to which the ONT to be confirmed is connected. You can run the display ont autofind command to query the automatically found ONTs.
Numeral type. Range: varies with the board type.
ontid ontid
Indicates the ONT ID. This parameter is optional. If you do not specify it, the system automatically allocates the smallest idle ONT number at the current port.
Numeral type. Range: varies with the board type.
all
Confirms all the automatically found ONTs on a specified GPON port. When you need to confirm ONTs in batches, use this parameter.
-
password-auth { password-value | hexpassword-value } }
Two authentication modes are supported:
· Password authentication: Enter password-auth password-value afterportid [ ontid ] directly. In this case, following the password, always-on or once-on needs to be set to select the find-mode. In the password authentication mode, the OLT checks whether the password reported by the ONT is the same as the configuration. If yes, the ONT passes the authentication and goes online. The password authentication mode is generally used for batch adding ONTs. Only the passwords of the ONTs need to be planned and the SNs of the ONTs need not be recorded manually.
· SN+password authentication: Enter password-auth password-valueafter sn-auth sn-value. In this mode, the OLT checks whether the SN and the password are the same as the configuration. If yes, the ONT passes the authentication and goes online. This authentication mode ensures the strongest security but the SN of the ONT needs to be recorded manually.
The authentication passwords of the ONTs connected to the same port must be unique.
Character string type
· When the password is a character string type, it consists of 1-10 characters for a common GPON ONT or 1-36 characters for an XG-PON ONT.
· When the password is in hexadecimal notation, it consists of 1-20 characters for a common GPON ONT or 1-72 characters for an XG-PON ONT.
The characters must be visible and cannot contain a question mark (?). A double quotation mark (") except the outer-layer double quotation mark (") cannot be followed by a space. If the start or end character is a double quotation mark (), the corresponding end or start character must also be a double quotation mark (").
loid-auth loid-value [ checkcode-authcheckcode-value ]
Sets the authentication mode of the ONT to LOID authentication or LOID+CHECKCODE authentication. If only loid-value is set, the LOID authentication mode is used.
· In LOID authentication mode, the OLT determines whether the LOID is consistent with the configured LOID. If they are consistent, the ONT is authenticated and the ONT goes online successfully.
· In LOID+CHECKCODE authentication mode, the OLT determines whether the LOID+CHECKCODE is consistent with the configured LOID+CHECKCODE. If they are consistent, the ONT is authenticated and the ONT goes online successfully.
loid-value is character string type, a string of 1-24 characters
checkcode-value is character string type, a string of 1-12 characters
always-on
Indicates one mode for finding the authentication password, Loid or Loid+Checkcode. In the always-on mode, the ONT can still get online after subscribers pass the authentication and the SN of the ONT is changed.
-
once-on
Indicates one mode for finding the authentication password, Loid or Loid+Checkcode. In the once-on mode, the ONT is required to start authentication within the specified time, and cannot get online if it times out. The SN of an ONT cannot be modified once the ONT passes the authentication. You can set the time of ONT authentication through no-aging and aging-time.
-
no-aging
When an ONT is in the Once-on mode and no time-out time is set, the ONT can be authenticated by the password all the time.
-
aging-time time
When an ONT is in the Once-on mode and the time-out time is set, the ONT can be authenticated by the password within the specified time and cannot if it times out.
Numeral type. Range: 1-168 hours.
Unit: hour.
re-register-auth-mode { sn | sn-password }
When an ONT is in the Once-on mode, and the authentication mode for a second authentication or subsequent authentications.
· sn: Indicates that only the SN authentication mode is used for a second authentication.
· su-password: Indicates that the SN+password authentication mode is used for a second authentication.
Enumerated type. Options: sn and sn-password.
Default: sn-password.
sn-auth sn-value
The ONT is authenticated by the SN. In the SN mode, the OLT checks whether the serial number reported by the ONT is the same as the configuration. If they are the same as each other, the authentication passes and the ONT can get online.
Character string type, a string of 13, 14, or 16 characters, such as <XXXXXXXXXXXXXX>, <XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX>, or <XXXX-XXXXXXXX>.
description description
Configures the description for the ONT. The description is helpful for the ONT management and maintenance.
Character string type, a string of 1-128 characters.
profile-id profile-id
Binds the ONT with a capability set profile by the profile number.
Numeral type. Range: 1-128.
profile-name profile-name
Binds the ONT with a capability set profile by the profile name.
Character string type, a string of 1-63 characters.
manage-mode manage-mode
Indicates the manage-mode of ONT.
Enumerated type. Options: OMCI and SNMP.
Default:OMCI.

Usage Guidelines
· Run the config command to enter global config mode, and then run the interface gpon command to enter GPON mode.
· To confirm an automatically discovered ONT, you must specify an ONT capability profile for it.
· To confirm an ONT, you must select a correct ONT capability profile, in which the specifications and capabilities of the ONT are set. If the selected profile is incorrect, inconsistency will occur when the ONT goes online. In addition, the selected profile must be a profile that already exists in the system.
· It is recommended to add the description such as the location and time for each ONT, so as to facilitate the fault locating and ONT maintenance.
· In the case of the GPBC board, up to 64 ONTs can be connected to one port. In the case of the GPBD board, up to 128 ONTs can be connected to one port.
· In one system, the configured ONT SN must be unique.
· In one system, the configured ONT LOID must be unique.
· The upstream bandwidth of the XG-PON ONT must be a multiple of 256 kbit/s; otherwise, the operation fails.
· The restrictions of the upstream bandwidth of PON port the ONT related to are as follows:
§ The fixed bandwidth and assured bandwidth of all the TCONT of all the ONTs reated to the PON port must be smaller than, or equal to the allocable bandwidth of the PON port. The added ONT will use bandwdth, and the allocable bandwidth of the PON port will decrease. You can run the display port info(gpon) command to query the maxium allocable bandwidth of the PON port. The queried result is the allacable bandwith minus the ONT fixed bandwidth cost, and the fixed bandwidth and assured bandwidth that have been allocated.
§ The maximum bandwidth configured in the DBA profile the ONT bound to must be smaller than, or equal to the maximum allocable bandwidth of the PON port that the ONT is related to. You can run the display port info(gpon) command about the PON port that has not been bound by an ONT to query the maximum allocable bandwidth of the PON port.
