GPON Access Port Management(display port state)

display port state(gpon)

Function

This command is used to query status information about a GPON port, mainly the hardware information about the optical transceiver.

Format

display port state { all | portid }

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
portid Indicates the ID of the GPON port to be queried. Please see Differences Between Shelves.
all Queries the status of all the ports on a GPON board. -

Usage Guidelines

  • Run the config command to enter global config mode, and then run the interface gpon command to enter GPON mode.
  • For meanings of optical transceiver parameters in this command output, see "SFF-8472 Specification for Diagnostic Monitoring Interface for Optical Transceivers" and "XFP-8077i Specification for Diagnostic Monitoring Interface for Optical Transceivers".

System Response

  • The system displays the queried result when the command runs successfully.
  • The following table describes the parameters in response to this command.
    NOTE:
    When the value is "-", it indicates the invalid value.
    Parameter Description
    F/S/P Indicates the shelf ID, slot ID, and port ID for the GPON port under the query.
    Optical Module status Indicates the optical module status. Options: online and offline(the optical module is absent or faulty).
    Port state Indicates the current port status. Options: online and offline(there is no online ONT related to the port).
    Port energy-saving flag
    Indicates the energy-saving status of the port. Options: Yes and No. The energy-saving status is Yes when the following conditions are met:
    • The system energy-saving function is enabed by running the system energy-saving mode command.
    • There is no online ONT connected to the GPON port.
    • The ONT auto find function is enabled by running the port ont-auto-find command.
    xPON MAC chipset state Indicates the status of the MAC chip on the xPON board. Options: normal and failed(the MAC chip is faulty).
    Last down cause
    Indicates the cause for the last offline. The probable causes are as follows:
    • Loss of frame (LOS)
    • Optical module absence
    • Optical module fault
    • Optical port closed by running the shutdown command
    • Unknown
    Last up time Indicates the time for the last port online. "-" indicates that no ONT is connected to the port.
    Laser state Indicates the laser status of an optical module. Options: normal and fail. If the laser malfunctions, the state is Fail.
    Available bandwidth(Kbps) Indicates the available bandwidth at the port (remaining unassigned bandwidth and non-real-time available bandwidth).
    Temperature(C) Indicates the working temperature of an optical module, usually it ranges from 0°C to 70°C.
    TX Bias current(mA) Indicates the transmit bias current of a port, usually it ranges from 0 mA to 100 mA.
    Supply Voltage(V) Indicates the supply voltage, usually it ranges from 0 V to 6.55 V.
    TX power(dBm) Indicates the transmit power of an optical module.
    Illegal rogue ONT
    Indicates that whether an illegal rogue ONT exist.
    • Inexistent: indicates that no rogue ONT exists.
    • Existent: indicates that rogue ONTs exist.
    Multicast actual encrypt Indicates the actual multicast encryption status. Only the XG-PON port supports this query.
    Max rate(Kbps) Indicates the maximum rate of an optical module.
    Max Distance(Km) Indicates the maximum transmission distance of an optical module.
    Wave Length(nm) Indicates the optical wavelength of an optical module.
    Fiber type Indicates the fiber type. Options: single-mode and multi-mode.
    Signal detect Indicates the signal detection status of an optical module. Options: normal and failed (the OLT cannot receive optical signals from ONUs).
    TX fault Indicates the transmit status of an optical module. Options: normal and fail (the optical module cannot transmit optical signals because of a malfunction or other reasons).
    Identifier Indicates the optical module type. Options: Unknown, Gigabit Interface Convertor (GBIC), Small Form Factor Pluggable (SFP), and others.
    Ext.Identifier Indicates the extended identifier of the optical module type.
    Connector Indicates the connector type of an optical module. Options: SC, LC, and others..
    Encoding Indicates the pattern in which optical signals are encoded. Options: 8B/10B (EPON), NRZ (GPON), and others.
    Length(9um)(km) Indicates the transmission distance of optical fiber with a 9 um core diameter..
    Length(50um)(m) Indicates the transmission distance of optical fiber with a 50 um core diameter.
    Length(62.5um)(m) Indicates the transmission distance of 62.5 um optical fiber.
    Length(Copper)(m) Indicates the transmission distance of copper cables.
    Cc_base Indicates the check code for "Base ID Fields" in "Two-wire interface ID".
    CC_EXT Indicates the check code for "Extended ID Fields" in "Two-wire interface ID".
    BR,max Indicates the maximum bit rate of an optical module.
    BR,min Indicates the minimum bit rate of an optical module.
    SFF-8472 Compliance Indicates which revision of SFF-8472 the transceiver complies with.
    Diagnostic Monitoring Type Indicates the diagnosis monitoring type. Options: Digital diagnostic monitoring, Received power measurement type (OMA or average power), and others.
    Options Indicates the port status options. Options: Unallocated, TX_DISABLE, TX_FAULT, and others.
    Enhanced Options Indicates the enhanced port status options. Options: Unallocated, soft TX_DISABLE control and monitoring, soft TX_FAULT monitoring, and others.
    Vendor Rev Indicates the revision level for part number provided by vendor.
    Vendor PN Indicates the product number (PN).
    Vendor SN Indicates the product serial number (SN).
    Date Code Indicates the production date.
    Vendor name Indicates the vendor name.
    Vendor OUI Indicates the SFP vendor IEEE company ID.
    Vendor specific Indicates the detailed vendor information, which is provided by the vendor.
    Module type Indicates the module type, including GPON, XG-PON, WDM PON, and hybrid PON.
    Module sub-type Indicates the module sub-type, including CLASS B+, CLASS C+, CLASS B, CLASS C++, N2a, N2b, N1, PX20, PX20+, PX20++, PR30, PR20, PRX30, PRX20 and Unknown.
    Used type Indicates the used type, including OLT, ONT, and MxU.
    Encapsulation Type Indicates the encapsulation type, including SFF2X5, SFF2X10, SFP, XFP, LXFP, and BOSA ON BOARD.
    OTDR capability Indicates whether the OTDR testing is supported.
    Tx Ref Clock Input Indicates whether the transmit reference clock input is needed.
    CDR Function Indicates whether to support the clock data recovery (CDR) function.
    Power level Indicates the power level. Options: Class B+, Class C+, and others.
    RZ encoding Indicates whether to support the return to zero (RZ) encoding.
    NRZ encoding Indicates whether to support the non-return to zero (NRA) encoding.
    8B/10B encoding Indicates whether to support the 8B/10B encoding.
    64B/66B encoding Indicates whether to support the 64B/66B encoding.
    Length (E-50μm)(m) Indicates the length of the EBW (50/125 μm) optical transmission link.
    Transmitter tunable Indicates whether to support the transmitter tuning.
    Detector Indicates the detector type. The OLT supports only the avalanche photodiode (APD) type.
    Wavelength control Indicates whether to support the wavelength control.
    Cooled transmitter device Indicates whether to support the cooled transmitter.
    Transmitter technology Indicates the transmitter technology. The laser types include EML (10G GPON) and DFB (GPON).
    XFI Loopback Mode Indicates whether to support the XFI loopback mode.
    Lineside Loopback Mode Indicates whether to support the loopback mode on the line.
    CDR max Bit Rate Indicates whether to support the CDR maximum bit rate.
    Wavelength tolerance(nm) Indicates the wavelength range.
    Max case temp Indicates the maximum case temperature.
    Max power(mW) Indicates the maximum power consumption.
    Max low power(mW) Indicates the maximum power consumption in the case of optical module power-off.
    Max current(+5V)(mA) Indicates the maximum current in the case of +5 V voltage.
    Max current(+3.3V)(mA) Indicates the maximum current in the case of +3.3 V voltage.
    Max current(+1.8V)(mA) Indicates the maximum current in the case of +1.8 V voltage.
    Max current(-5.2V)(mA) Indicates the maximum current in the case of -5.2 V voltage.
    Rx power measurement type Indicates the receive power measurement type. Only the average power type is supported.
    Respond to FEC BER Indicates whether to support the reporting of the forward error correction (FEC) bit error ratio (BER).
    Aux Monitoring 1 Indicates the auxiliary monitoring 1. Options: APD, bias voltage, thermoelectric cooler (TEC) current, and others.
    Aux Monitoring 2 Indicates the auxiliary monitoring 2. Options: +5 V supply voltage, +3.3 V supply voltage, and others.
    Wavelength(10G)(nm) Indicates transmit wavelength at a frequency of 10 GHz.
    Wavelength(2.5G)(nm) Indicates transmit wavelength at a frequency of 2.5 GHz.
    Wavelength(1.25G)(nm) Indicates transmit wavelength of a 1.25 GHz optical module.
    Temperature level Indicates the temperature level. The options are as follows:
    • Commercial level: 0°C to 70°C
    • Industry level: -40°C to +85°C
    OPM precision Indicates the OPM precision.
    Rx power alarm threshold(dBm) Indicates the alarm range of the receive optical power of the optical module, that is, -10.00 dBm to 8.00 dBm.
    Tx power alarm threshold(dBm) Indicates the alarm range of the transmit optical power of the optical module, that is, -10.00 dBm to 8.00 dBm.
    Tx bias alarm threshold(mA) Indicates the alarm range of the bias current of the optical module, that is, 10.00 mA to 100.00 mA.
    Supply voltage alarm threshold(V) Indicates the alarm range of the power supply voltage of the optical module, that is, 1 V to 6 V.
    Temperature alarm threshold(C) Indicates the alarm range of the temperature of the optical module, that is, -20.00°C to 70.00°C.
    Rx power warning threshold(dBm) Indicates the warning range of the receive optical power of the optical module, that is, -10.00 dBm to 8.00 dBm.
    Tx power warning threshold(dBm) Indicates the warning range of the transmit optical power of the optical module, that is, -10.00 dBm to 8.00 dBm.
    Tx bias warning threshold(mA) Indicates the warning range of the bias current of the optical module, that is, 10.00 mA to 100.00 mA.
    Supply voltage warning threshold(V) Indicates the warning range of the power supply voltage of the optical module, that is, 1 V to 6 V.
    Temperature warning threshold(C) Indicates the warning range of the temperature of the optical module, that is, -20.00°C to 70.00°C.
    Rate Identifier
    Indicates the rate identifier. Options include:
    • 4/2/1G
    • AS0/AS1
    • 8/4/2G (for the Rx rate)
