Function Description
The multiple spanning tree protocol (MSTP) applies to the redundant network. MSTP is an improvement of STP and RSTP. MSTP prevents the proliferation and infinite cycling of the packets in the loop network. In addition, MSTP provides multiple redundant paths for VLAN data transmission to achieve the load-sharing purpose. The MA5680T/MA5683T/MA5608T supports MSTP, which is compatible with the STP and RSTP. It supports MSTP loop network that helps meet various networking requirements.Function
This command is used to clear the statistics of the Multiple Spanning Tree
Protocol (MSTP). The statistics of a spanning tree includes Topology Change
Notify (TCN), Bridge Protocol Data Unit (BPDU), Config BPDU, Rapid Spanning Tree
(RST) BPDU, and Multiple Spanning Tree (MST) BPDU received by or sent from a
port. After the statistics are cleared, the data of the above mentioned packets
are cleared.
Parameters
Parameter | Description | Value |
---|---|---|
port frameid/slotid/portid | Indicates the subrack ID, slot ID, and port ID. Enter a slash (/) between the subrack, slot, and port IDs. When you need to clear the statistics of a specified port, use this parameter. | Please see Differences Between Shelves. |
Usage Guidelines
- The statistics of a port include:
- TCN BPDU: the received/sent TCN packets of the port.
- Config BPDU: the received/sent configuration packets of the port.
- RST BPDU: the received/sent RSTP packets.
- MST BPDU: the received/sent MSTP packets of the port.
- The reset stp statistics command is used to clear the statistics of all the ports. The reset stp port frameid/slotid/portid statistics command is used to clear the statistics of a specified port.
Example
To clear the MSTP statistics of all ports, do as follows:
huawei(config)#reset stp statisticsTo clear the MSTP statistics of a port 0/19/0, do as follows:
huawei(config)#reset stp port
{ frameid/slotid/portid<S><Length 5-18> }:0/19/0
{ statistics<K> }:statistics
Command:
reset stp port 0/19/0 statistics
