Rerouting Failures Caused by the Coupling of Tunnel and Broadcast Services on NG–SDH Products
[Problem Description]
Trigger condition:
Both tunnel and broadcast services are configured. As shown in the following figure, timeslot 1 on
optical port 1 of the board in slot 5 exclusively transmits three VC-3 services to timeslot 1 on
optical port 1 of the board in slot 6 and one VC-4 cross-connection to timeslot 1 on optical
port 1 of the board in slot 7:
5, 1, 1, 1&&3--->6, 1, 1, 1&&3, VC-3
5, 1, 1, 0--->7, 1, 1, 0, VC-4
Symptom:
The tunnel rerouting fails, and line or tributary boards report AU_AIS and TU_AIS alarms. In addition,
CP_SRV_INT alarms are reported in V100R008 or later versions.
Identification method:
Timeslot 1 on optical port 1 of the board in slot 5 is used as the source, and
VC-4 and lower order services are configured on the source.
[Root Cause]
When the tunnel is rerouted to a new trail, two higher order VC-4 cross-connections are generated
at the algorithm layer due to incorrect code processing. As a result, a sink conflict occurs, and the
rerouting fails.
[Impact and Risks]
Lower order services on the tunnel are interrupted.
[Measures and Solutions]
Recovery measures:
Deactivate and then activate lower order services on the tunnel.
Preventive measures:
Do not configure both VC-4 and lower order services (VC-3/VC-12) on the same tunnel.
Solution:
Upgrade an NE to one of the following versions:
If the NE version is one of V100R006, V100R007, or V100R008 versions earlier than
V100R008C02SPC500, upgrade the NE to V100R008C02SPC500 or a later V100R008 version.
If the NE version is one of V100R009 or V100R010 versions earlier than V100R010C03SPC200,
upgrade the NE to V100R010C03SPC200 or a later version.
