ont-profile delete(distributing-mode)

Function

This command is used to delete an ONT( LIKE HG8245H) capability set profile.

Format

ont-profile delete { profile-id profile-id | profile-name profile-name }

Parameters

Parameter	Description	Value
profile-id profile-id	Indicates the ID of the ONT capability set profile. It identifies a capability set profile uniquely. When you need to delete a capability set profile by the profile ID, use this parameter.	Numeral type. Range: 17-128.
profile-name profile-name	Indicates the name of the ONT capability set profile. When you need to delete a capability set profile by the profile name, use this parameter.	Character string type, a string of 1-63 characters.

Usage Guidelines

• Numbered from 1 to 16, the system default profiles include the multi-dwelling unit (MDU) profile and the profile for common ONTs.
• Currently, the system provides seven default ONT capability set profiles (numbered from 1 to 7) for GPON ports. The default profiles cannot be modified or deleted. Default profiles 8 to 16 are reserved in the system.
• The profile bound with an ONT cannot be modified or deleted.
• The display ont-profile(distributing-mode) can be used to query the information about an ONT capability set profile.

Example

To delete ONT capability set profile 17, do as follows:

huawei(config)#ont-profile delete                                               
{ profile-id<K>|profile-name<K> }:profile-id                                    
{ profile-id<U><17,128> }:17

System Response

• The system displays the message "Deleting an ONT profile succeeded" after an ONT capability set profile is deleted successfully.
