GPON Global Parameter Configuration about gpon base-gemport

Function

This command is used to configure the start GEM port of GPON ports. When you need to configure the index range of the GEM ports of the GPON port, run this command. After the configuration is successful, if the rate limitation mode of the GPON port is port-cos, the indexes for the GEM ports of the GPON port range from "the value configured" to "the value configured + 255".

gpon base-gemport base-gemportid

Usage Guidelines

• The start index of the GEM port is valid only when the rate limitation mode of the GPON port is port-cos. In this case, only 256 GEM ports can be configured on the GPON port, and the index ranges from "the value configured" to "the value configured + 255".
• When the rate limitation mode of a GPON port is port-cos and the port has been configured with GEM ports, the index of the start GEM port cannot be modified.
• When the GPON port is configured with a traffic profile to limit the port rate, the index of the start GEM port cannot be modified.
• You can run the command display base-gemport to query the start GEM port of GPON ports.

Example

To configure the start GEM port of GPON ports to GEM port 150, do as follows:

huawei(config)#gpon base-gemport                                                
{ base-gemportid<U><128,3872> }:150

          gpon base-gemport 150    

System Response

• The system does not display any message after the start GEM port of GPON ports is configured successfully.
