You can save, back up, activate and query the configuration file on the MA5680T/MA5683T/MA5608T.

Function

This command is used to activate a configuration file. To validate a configuration file in the system, run this command.

NOTICE:

When you run the load configuration command to load a configuration file, activate the file directly but do not run the save configuration or the save command to save it. Otherwise, the imported configuration file is lost.
The system is reset after you run the active configuration system command. During the reset, the system selects the system configuration file for activating the system configuration.
When activating a large configuration file, the reboot time is long. For example, if there are 12 K service-ports, 12 K descriptors of service-ports, and mac-address max-mac-count in each service-port, the reboot time is about 1 hour.
The configuration file cannot be used in a cross-R version or cross-C version. Otherwise, configurations will be lost.

active configuration system

Parameter	Description
system	Activates the configuration for the system. When the system is reset, the system selects the system configuration file for configuration, and does not select the database for configuration.

To activate the configuration file, do as follows:

huawei#active configuration system
  System will reboot after this command, continue? (y/n)[n]:y

Before you run the command, the system prompts whether to reset the system for activating the configuration file. You need to confirm the prompt for executing the command.
