Common ONT Management(clear statistics ont)

Function

This command is used to clear the performance statistics of an online optical network terminal (ONT). Before collecting the performance statistics of an ONT within a period of time, ensure that the original statistics of the ONT are reset to zero. The items that can be queried by running the display statistics ont command. After the performance statistics are cleared, the system collects the performance statistics again.

NOTE:

• The performance statistics of the ONT cannot be restored after being cleared. Confirm the action before using the command.
• This function can also be implemented by the reset statistics ont command. Furthermore, its enhanced function will be implemented through the reset statistics ont command. Therefore, it is recommended that you run the reset statistics ont command.

Format

clear statistics ont portid ontid

Parameters

Parameter	Description	Value
portid	Indicates the ID of the PON port to which the ONT whose performance statistics are to be cleared belongs.	Please see Differences Between Shelves.
ontid	Indicates the ID of the ONT whose performance statistics are to be cleared.	Numeral type. Range: varies with the board type.

Usage Guidelines

• Run the config command to enter global config mode, and then run the interface gpon command to enter GPON mode, or run the interface epon command to enter EPON mode.
• To switch the xPON mode, run the diagnose command in privilege mode or global config mode to enter diagnose mode, and then run thexpon mode switch-to command. After the switching, reset the device for the mode to take effect.
• Run the display ont info command to query the state of ONT.
• This comand is used to clear the performance statistics of all the ONT ports. You can run the reset statistics ont-eth command to clear the performance statistics of the ONT Ethernet port, and run the reset statistics ont-iphost(gpon) command to clear the performance statistics of the ONT IPHOST port.

Example

To clear the performance statistics of ONT 0 connected to GPON port 0/3/0, do as follows:

  Command:
          clear statistics ont 0 0

System Response

• The system does not display any message after after the performance statistics of an ONT connected to a GPON port are cleared successfully.
