Common ONT Management about clear statistics ont-line-quality

Function

This command is used to clear the line quality statistics of an optical network terminal (ONT). Before collecting the line quality statistics of an ONT within a period of time, ensure that the original line quality statistics of the ONT are reset to zero. The items that can be queried by running the display statistics ont-line-quality command. After the performance statistics are cleared, the system collects the line quality performance statistics again.

NOTE:

• The line quality performance statistics of the ONT cannot be restored after being cleared. Confirm the action before using the command.
  
• This function can also be implemented by the reset statistics ont-line-quality command. Furthermore, its enhanced function will be implemented through the reset statistics ont-line-quality command. Therefore, it is recommended that you run the reset statistics ont-line-quality command.

Format

clear statistics ont-line-quality portid [ ontid ]

Parameters

Parameter	Description	Value
portid	Indicates the ID of the PON port to which the line quality whose performance statistics are to be cleared belongs.	Please see Differences Between Shelves.
ontid	Indicates the ID of the ONT port to which the line quality whose performance statistics are to be cleared belongs. If you do not specify the ONT ID, the line quality statistics of all the ONTs connected to a PON port are cleared. If you specify the ONT ID, the line quality statistics of the specified ONT connected to a PON port are cleared.	Numeral type. Range: varies with the board type.

Usage Guidelines

• Run the config command to enter global config mode, and then run the interface gpon command to enter GPON mode, or run the interface epon command to enter EPON mode.
• Run the display statistics ont-line-quality command to check whether the line quality statistics are cleared.

Example

To clear the line quality statistics of all ONTs under GPON port 0/3/0, do as follows:

System Response

• The system does not display any messages after the line quality statistics of the ONT are cleared successfully.
